A Tale Of Two Cities Needlepoint Tour of London & Paris – Moved to October 2020

Jeremy and Elizabeth have rescheduled the Tale of Two Cities tour to October 2020, in response to Covid-19. Jeremy has worked up a new itinerary with some options to extend your stay and go onto Scotland if you wish. Please check back for updates.

The cost of the Tale Of Two Cities Tour will be:

Double Occupancy room: $8500.00
Single Occupancy room $9100.00

Off The Beaten Path Add-On Week:

Single: $3250/ Double: $3500

Total for all three weeks: Single: $12,600/Double: $11,750

A deposit of $3,000 USD is due on sign-up and then you will be invoiced for the remaining payments. The final payment will be due September 15th, 2020.

Basically the Itinerary has changed little from the original. The main difference is that we will go to Paris and the Loire the first week. The second week to London and Sussex.

Arrival at Hilton Garden Inn Terminal 2 : London Heathrow by 5 pm.
Welcome drinks and dinner.
(Please note you can transfer from any arrival terminal at Heathrow directly into the Hotel. Passengers arriving into Terminals 2 & 3 can walk to the Hotel with ease. Passengers arriving into Terminals 4 & 5 can take the shuttle. Jeremy will be already at the Hotel and can meet you on request. If you plan to arrive the day before Jeremy can organize extra nights accommodation.)

After breakfast we will be collected by our luxury bus and drive to the Channel Tunnel and transit across to Calais. Proceed to Paris and check in at the Novotel Versailles for 3 nights. Dinner at the Hotel.

Either full day sightseeing in Paris or our Haberdashery Tour and Class at Sajou. (As per original itinerary) Dinner at the Hotel or a restaurant in Paris.

Please note on both our Paris days our bus will be on hand to shuttle us around the City so we will be able to fit more into these Paris days. We will also try to fit in a visit to the Chateau of Versailles during our stay.

After breakfast we will drive to the Chateau at Chambord for a visit. Then onwards to Chenonceaux and check into the Auberge du Bon Laboureur for 2 nights. Dinner at the Hotel.

Today we will visit the amazing Chateau of Chenonceaux spanning the River Cher. Today will be a relaxing day as we can walk to the Chateau. There will be time to stitch today and maybe take a ride out to the pretty town of Amboise on the River Loire. Dinner at the Hotel.

After breakfast we will set off north to Caen in Normandy and take the Ferry to Portsmouth back in the UK. Dinner on the Ferry in the first class restaurant. Check into the Mitre Hotel Hampton Court.

Today we have a morning at leisure. We will organize an outing somewhere lovely! Dinner at the Hotel.

PLEASE NOTE : New guests will join us today as we have combined the second week of this Tour with the first week of our Off the Beaten Path tour.

After breakfast we will cross the road and do our full day Class at The Royal School of Needlework. This will be a Canvas Work Masterclass specially tailored for us. Dinner at Mezzet Restaurant Hampton Court which is always great fun.

We will be collected by our luxury bus and will visit Knole House in the county of Kent. Onwards to the Victorian Seaside town of Eastbourne and check into the famous Grand Hotel for 3 Nights. Dinner at the Hotel.

Today we will have an easy day and we will have a class with Elizabeth to carrying on with our tour needlepoint projects. Also you can have some leisure time and enjoy being at the Classic English Seaside. Dinner at the Hotel.

After breakfast we will visit Sissinghurst Castle home of the famous writer Vita Sackville-West. There will be an afternoon activity to be determined. Dinner at the Hotel.

After checking out. Today we will head to London and do some sightseeing and visit the legendary Liberty Department Store to shop. Dinner and Hotel.

Transfer to London Heathrow for departures to the USA.

Our Tour will then continue to Scotland and Woburn. We are currently reworking the itinerary so the two tours flow together nicely. If you wish to extend your trip and continue with us for another week, please let Elizabeth or Jeremy know. The tour will end on Saturday 31st October.

Please note the price includes all meals apart from lunch. We normally have a big breakfast and then Dinner around 7 pm. So a sandwich or scone is normally enough when we make a break. Price also includes all our Needlepoint / Stitching Projects and Airport to Hotel Transfers. All you need is shopping money !

Price does not include airfare, or alcoholic beverages – drinks must be charged to your room account.

We normally run our Tour with a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 24.
