Ro Pace writes: "I wish that I could say that I just woke up one morning with the design for Three of a Kind complete in my head, knowing that I would ask Lori Wolf-Block and Michael Boren to stitch their own colorways. I wish I also had known that I would send it to Joyce for needlepoint now and that it would win the ribbon for “Creative Inspiration” in the 2007 ANG Seminar Exhibit. That kind of inspirational flash does happen with some designs, but that was not the case with Three Of a Kind. The inspiration for this design came out of a desire to create a project that Lori, Michael and I could stitch in our own colorways and then send them to Joyce for publication." We present you with three very different color palettes from which to choose, or create one that is uniquely yours. Here are some tips to help you select your own threads: 1. One strand of Gloriana Silk is equivalent to 1 strand of cotton floss. 2. Rainbow Gallery’s Elegance and Au Ver a Soie Soie Perlee are equivalent to #8 pearl cotton. 3. Rainbow Gallery’s Grandeur and Trebizond are equivalent to #5 pearl cotton. Bijoux and Accentuate are equivalent to Kreinik Blending Filament.
